making exercise more inclusive

As we all age we may start to lose mobility. Exercise is such a key ingredient to health, fitness and wellbeing.  Its not just a the domina of the young. Whether its gentle or fast paced we should encourage all ages to participate to ensure healthy bodies and minds, encourage people to engage together aand to understand the longterm effects of not investing in our own bodies for our future selves.

Why the contribution is important

To publicise and encourage through campaigns that any one can get fit at any age and any level. You dont have to be a gym bunny to get fit and sometimes that message gets lost and undermines how people view fitness not understanding that gardening and walking is just as beneficial. a

    I totally agree that we should all make more effort to keep active and mobile for as long as we can but also try to encourage less mobile people in any form of exercise. It doesn't have to be fast and dynamic!
     I love walking and I do a couple of chair yoga sessions for people living with dementia and their carers. It's the mental engagement as well as the physical as we get older. But facilities and availability are very limited
